Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using VoiceScribe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
VoiceScribe is a mobile application that provides:
- On-device audio recording and transcription
- Speaker diarization and identification
- Voice activity detection
- Multi-language support through downloadable AI models
- Transcript editing and export capabilities
All processing occurs locally on your device using Apple's CoreML framework.
3. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, BottleCap LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Obtain consent from all parties before recording conversations where legally required
- Not use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Not distribute, sublicense, or transfer the App to any third party
5. Recording Laws
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding audio recording and consent. Many jurisdictions require the consent of one or all parties to a conversation before recording. VoiceScribe is a tool; how you use it is your responsibility.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by BottleCap LLC and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all recordings and transcripts you create using the App.
7. AI Models
The AI models available for download within the App are provided for use solely with VoiceScribe. These models are licensed, not sold, and remain the property of their respective creators. You may not extract, redistribute, or use these models outside of VoiceScribe.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. BOTTLECAP LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY ACCURATE IN ITS TRANSCRIPTIONS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BOTTLECAP LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BottleCap LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
