VoiceScribe processes all audio locally on your device using Apple's CoreML. Your recordings and transcripts are never uploaded to any server. We believe your voice data belongs to you and should stay on your device.
1. Information We Collect
VoiceScribe is designed with privacy as a core principle. Here's what you should know:
- Audio Recordings: Stored only on your device. Never transmitted to our servers.
- Transcripts: Generated and stored locally on your device using on-device AI models.
- App Settings: Your preferences are stored locally on your device.
2. On-Device Processing
All transcription, speaker diarization, and voice activity detection happen entirely on your iPhone using Apple's CoreML framework. This means:
- Your audio never leaves your device
- No internet connection is required for transcription
- Your data remains completely under your control
- No third-party AI services have access to your content
3. Data Storage
All data created by VoiceScribe is stored locally on your device:
- Recordings are saved in your device's local storage
- Transcripts are stored in a local SQLite database
- AI models are downloaded once and stored locally
- You can delete your data at any time through the app or by uninstalling
4. Third-Party Services
VoiceScribe does not use any third-party services for:
- Audio processing or transcription
- Speech recognition
- Speaker identification
- Data analytics or tracking
AI models are downloaded from our servers during initial setup, but no user data is ever transmitted.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. Since all processing happens on your device, we have no access to your recordings or transcripts.
6. Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete any recording or transcript at any time
- Export your data in standard formats (PDF, text)
- Remove all data by uninstalling the app
7. Children's Privacy
VoiceScribe is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above.
